1. Read the following passage and answer the questions given below :

(Lesson 10, The Price of Bananas -Mulk Raj Anand, Page No. 75)

“Two annas! What impudence!” Sethji shouted each word in disgust at the grimy fruit vendor. “Please give him the money, Shetji,” the rest of the compartment said. “Acha, here are four annas for you, porter, and an anna for you, fruit vendor! Shetji said. “But I carried two big pieces of luggage, the porter wailed. “Go! Go! Crook!” Sethji thundered at the protesting porter. The porter left. The fruit vendor persisted, “Sethji be just, I saved your honourable cap.” The guard’s whistle blew. The train was about to depart. The vendor looked in through the compartment window.

“Sethji, do not rob the poor!”

“ja ja! Take rest,” Sethji scowled at him.

King Alfred was a kind master. One day one of his servants got the information that his younger sister was lying seriously at home. He prayed to his master for leave to go home. King Alfred granted him leave and gave him a bundle. He said it contained medicine for his sister. The servant reached home. He opened the bundle and found some silver coins in it.
