The young sea-gull was alone on his ledge. His two brothers and his sister had already flown away the day before. He had been afraid to fly with them. When he had run forward to the brink of the ledge he become afraid. The great expanse of the sea stretched down beneath, and it was miles down. He felt certain that his wings would never support him. So he bent his head and ran away back to the little hole where he slept at night. His father and mother had come around calling to him shrilly. But for the life of him he could not move.

That was twenty-four hours ago. Since then nobody had come ne. The day before he had watched his parents flying about with his brothers and sister. They were teaching them the art of flight and how to diye for fish. He had seen his elder brother catch his first herring. While his parents circled around proudly.

3. Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow :

Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by newly discovered Coronavirus.

Most people infected with the Covid-19 vírus experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. We can protect ourselves and others from infection and others from infected by washing our hands or using an alcohol based sanitizer frequently and not touching our face, nose or eyes.

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that we also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow)

At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for Covid-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. so following sms (social Distancing, Wearing Mask and Sanitization) is the only way to prevent the spread of covid-19.
