It instantly flashed upon the king that she must be a Fairy, or how could she know that? “You are right,” said the old lady, answering his thoughts, “I am the Good Fairy Grandmarina. Listen. When you return home to dinner, invite the princess Alicia to have some of the salmon you bought just now. Ans. Iswarchandra Vidyasagar was born on September 26, 1820, at Birsingha in Midnapore. His father’s name was Thakurdas Bandyopadhyay. His mother’s name
was Bhagabati Devi. He got his early education at village Pathsala. After his early education, he was admitted to Sanskrit College. Later he became a teacher.
And then he became Principal of the same college. He started widow marriage. He was a vastly learned man so he was called He was
‘Vidyasagar’. He was also an ocean of kindness. So he was called ‘Dayar Sagar’. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar passed away in 1891 at the age of
seventy one.
