Ans : Ceres felt very sad in the morning because throughout the night she had searched for her lost daughter but could not find her.

Ans : Ceres was so grieved about her lost daughter, she neglected her work on earth. Then crops failed, ground became dry and barren. So there was a severe famine all over the world.
(c) Briefly narrate what the nymph of the fountain told Ceres. (ঝরনার দেবী সিরিসকে যা বলেছিলেন তা সংক্ষেপে লেখো।)
Ans : The nymph of the fountain told Ceres that she lived in the dark depths of the earth and she had seen Proserpine in the kingdom of Pluto, looking pale and weeping heavily. She advised Ceres to go to Jupiter and pray to him to get her daughter.
